The First Ordination, ever, of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church celebrated in Bombay, at our Church on 24th February 1973. Our Asst. Vicar Deacon George Jacob (now the Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa) was ordained as a priest on this day by the then Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Alexander Mar Theophilus Episcopa.

First Holy Communion Service celebrated in Bassein Chapel by Rev. George Jacob on 02-02-1973.
